Which Career or Business Path Is Really Right for You?
One of the questions people bring to me more than almost any other is not "when should I make a change," but something simpler, and often harder to answer: "Is this really the right path for me?"
I am Fibi Algabrilitz, a numerologist, astrologer and Kabbalist, and I have been working in this field for more than 45 years.
Many people come to me in the middle of their career, sometimes successful on paper, who still feel that something isn't quite right. Others are just starting out and want to understand which direction genuinely suits them before they commit years to it. And some are considering starting a business and want to understand whether it fits who they really are.
It's not about finding "the perfect job" — it's about understanding who you are
I don't believe there is one single "correct" career waiting to be discovered, the way some people imagine it.
What I look for instead is something more useful: understanding a person's natural tendencies, strengths and the way they are built to work, so that whatever direction they choose fits them rather than fights them.
When someone works in a way that goes against their nature, I often see it show up as tiredness, frustration or a quiet sense that something is missing — even when, from the outside, everything looks fine.
What your numbers can reveal about your natural strengths
Numerology is where I usually begin.
The numbers connected to a person's date of birth and name can show me a great deal about how they are naturally built: whether they tend to lead or support, whether they think in details or in the big picture, whether they need variety or stability, and where their real strengths lie.
I think of a client who came to me as a GP — a qualified medical doctor — who had become bored and unfulfilled in her medical career. Through our work together, she began exploring a different direction entirely: studying law. Her plan now is to open her own practice, bringing her medical expertise and her legal knowledge together under one roof, so she can manage both sides of the business herself. Her story is a good example of what I mean by finding a direction that genuinely fits — not necessarily abandoning everything you've built, but finding the combination that actually suits who you are.
If you'd like to understand more about how I read someone's numbers in this way, I've written more about it in Kabbalistic Numerology: What Is It Really, and How Is It Different from Regular Numerology?
Where astrology fits into finding the right direction
Numerology tells me about the person. Astrology adds another layer — the wider conditions and cycles a person is moving through, which can shape how a particular direction feels at a particular time.
Two people can have very similar natural strengths and still experience the same career question completely differently, because they are in different periods of their own lives. This is one reason I never look at career or business questions through numerology alone.
What Kabbalah adds — looking at your deeper purpose
Kabbalah brings in something deeper again: a sense of the purpose a person came into the world with, and the direction that keeps them closest to it.
A career or business path doesn't only need to be practical. For many people, it also needs to feel meaningful — connected to something larger than simply earning a living. When I bring Kabbalah into a reading, this is often the layer that helps someone understand not just what they are good at, but why a particular direction matters to them.
Why so many people feel they are on the wrong path
In more than 45 years of this work, I have met many people who chose a direction for reasons that had little to do with who they really are: to please a parent, because it seemed secure, or simply because it was the path in front of them at the time.
None of this makes someone's choice a mistake. But it does often explain the quiet feeling of being in the wrong place, even when nothing is obviously "wrong."
Understanding your own numbers, your own timing and your own deeper purpose is often what turns that vague feeling into real clarity — and real clarity is almost always the first step toward a decision that actually feels right.
What this looks like in a real consultation
When someone comes to me with a career or business question, I don't look at just one thing.
I try to understand what suits them naturally, what period of life they are in, and what direction feels aligned with their deeper purpose. Sometimes the answer is to make a bold change. Sometimes it's to adjust the current path rather than leave it. And sometimes the most valuable thing is simply understanding, clearly, why the current path doesn't fit — which on its own can bring enormous relief.
It's worth saying, too, that this is a slightly different question from the one I'm often asked about timing. Sometimes someone already knows the direction they want and is really asking, "is now the right moment to act?" That's its own question, and I've written about it separately in When Is the Right Time to Make a Big Career Decision? — this article is for when the direction itself is still the open question.
What I want you to take away
More than anything, I want the people I work with to connect with themselves.
I'm not there to hand someone a decision. My aim is to help each person understand their own strengths, their own timing and their own direction clearly enough that they can choose with confidence — rather than guessing, or simply following the path that happened to be in front of them.
If you're wondering whether your current path is really right for you
If you're questioning your career, considering starting a business, or simply feel that something about your current direction doesn't quite fit, I would be glad to help you look at this more clearly.
Together we can look at your natural strengths, the period you're in, and the direction that genuinely suits you — not to make the decision for you, but to help you make it with real confidence. You're welcome to book a time that works for you, and if you have any questions first, feel free to get in touch.
Appointments are available by phone, WhatsApp, Zoom or in person in Israel.

If you're sitting with questions like these about your own path, I'd be glad to help you look at them more closely together. A focused conversation — about your natural strengths, your current period, and the direction that genuinely fits you — is often where real clarity begins.
